J.R. Boehlke, Inc. is an asphalt, concrete, landscape, and snow contractor founded in 1996. We are hiring for a concrete foreman role to begin in Spring 2025. 

We are seeking a Foreman to lead daily activities of our concrete crew that will focus on residential and commercial concrete projects. The right individual for the role will be high-energy, organized, and dependable, have a demonstrated history of effectively leading and managing concrete crews, and enjoy working in a growing company. 

Prior experience leading a concrete crew is required. 

Job Responsibilities 

The Foreman will: 

  • Crew Leadership: Lead and supervise a crew of 3-5 team members, ensuring clear communication and team motivation. 
  • Project Execution: Plan and oversee all aspects of concrete project operations, including site prep, forming, pouring, and finishing. 
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and supervise the use of skidsteers and excavators. Ensure proper maintenance and safe use of all machinery. 
  • Quality Control: Monitor work progress to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations. 
  • Material Management: Coordinate material deliveries, calculate material needs, and ensure efficient use to minimize waste. 
  • Problem Solving: Address issues on-site, making real-time adjustments to ensure project goals are met. 
  • Reporting: Track and document daily job progress, material usage, and crew performance. Communicate regularly with project management staff. 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in concrete finishing, including at least 2 years leading projects as foreman. 
  • Experience in a range of concrete projects, including curb & gutter, commercial sidewalks, residential driveways and patios, and decorative concrete. 
  • High attention to detail and quality. 
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train crew members.
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment. 
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean driving record (CDL A is a plus).
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. 

J.R. Boehlke offers:
